Snack recipes for football

Give me all the avacodos and guacamole you want – I love it!   It is one of those easy recipes you can make that everyone loves and wants to know the recipe.  Mine is simple and keeps for a few days in an airtight container in the fridge.  Guacamole is healthy-er snack for the big game and is full of healthy fats and lots of beneficial nutrients as a positive side bonus.  Your taco bar will never be the same!

2 Avocados

1 Tomato

1 Clove chopped Garlic

2 Tablespoons Lime Juice ( more or less to your liking)

½ Tsp Cilantro ( fresh or dried )

½ Tsp Salt


  1. Cut avocados in half and take out the pit
  2. Remove from skin and place in bowl with salt, cilantro, garlic and lime juice.
  3. Mash with a fork ( or biscuit cutter if you have one). Mixture should still be somewhat chunky

4. Chop tomato and fold into the mixture until it is evenly mixed.

I like to serve in the actual scooped out avocadoes for added affect, but you can serve with chips, on burritos, or anywhere else that you normally have to pay for guacamole when you are out. This recipe is darn close to Chipotle’s!
